Pump and dump is market manipulation: a group coordinates to buy an asset simultaneously (pump → price spikes → attracts FOMO buyers), then dumps in sync at the high (dump → victims are left with the crash).
Illegal on regulated markets. In crypto often organized through Telegram groups. Victims are the ones who buy after the pump has started.
Free distribution of tokens to early users or active community members.
To buy an asset fast without analysis, on instinct or hype.
All-Time High — the historic peak price of an asset.
All-Time Low — the historic bottom price of an asset.
A holder of an asset that crashed and isn't recovering.
A speculator who plays in high-risk crypto plays; self-ironic term.
