A nominator is a user who deposits TON into a nominator pool (a staking aggregator contract) and earns a share of validator rewards without running and maintaining their own node.

It's the most accessible way to participate in network security — starting from 1 TON in some pools. Trade-off: the pool takes a commission (5-20% of rewards).
