Bear market — a period of sustained price decline, conventionally 20%+ below the recent peak, with fear and capitulation dominating sentiment. Named after the bear swiping downwards with its paws.

Crypto bears are brutal: 70–90% drawdowns on majors are normal. Survivors accumulate; tourists get rekt.
