Getgems is a decentralized NFT marketplace built on the TON blockchain. It enables users to create, buy, sell, and collect non‑fungible tokens (NFTs) through fixed‑price listings or auctions.

Getgems offers a simple interface for minting NFTs with customizable royalties, browsing popular collections, and trading via fixed price or auction modes. The platform also provides community features such as comments, social sharing, and regular events.

Rarity Index#

Each collection includes a Rarity score that indicates how uncommon an NFT is relative to others in the same set. Lower scores denote higher rarity and typically higher market value. Creators caution that rarity is only one factor; community interest, provenance, and attached privileges also affect price.

Example: Fanton Fantasy Football

The Fanton collection contains 28,000 player cards divided into three rarity tiers:

Rare – 56% of the cards, basic attributes.
Epic – 33% of the cards, enhanced attributes.
Legendary – 11% of the cards, top‑tier players with the best in‑game stats.

How to Use Getgems#

Prerequisites

An active TON wallet (e.g., Tonkeeper) with sufficient balance for transaction fees.

Buying NFTs

Connect your wallet on getgems.io.
Browse collections or use the search box to find a specific NFT.
For fixed‑price items, click Buy; for auctions, place a bid.
Confirm the transaction in your wallet. The NFT appears under the Purchased tab in your profile.

Selling NFTs

Open your profile and select Collections.
Choose the NFT and click Put on Sale.
Choose the sale type (fixed price or auction) and set the price.
Pay the network fee to list the NFT.

Minting NFTs

Prepare the following:

Image file (JPG, PNG, GIF, or GIF).
Name and description.
Sufficient TON balance for fees.

Minting steps:

In your profile, click Create.
Select Single NFT or Collection.
Upload the image, enter the title and description, and set a royalty percentage (0–30%).
Pay the minting fee; the new NFT appears in your wallet.

Fees#

TON is known for low transaction costs. On Getgems:

Minting a single NFT costs 0.05 TON for gas plus 0.02 TON service fee (~0.07 TON total).
To invoke a sale contract, the account must hold at least 0.3 TON as a reserve; most of this amount is returned after the transaction (~98%).
