FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) is the practice of spreading alarming rumors about a project so holders panic and sell. Often deployed by competitors or short whales.

Not all criticism is FUD: real risks (regulatory, technical) deserve discussion. FUD is deliberate, unfounded manipulation.

"More hack FUD — checked, the twitter is fake, the contract balance is fine."
