Drawdown — the percentage decline of an asset or a portfolio from its peak to the current price (or to the lowest point). "Maximum drawdown" is the worst such decline over a period — the standard measure of how painful a strategy gets.

In crypto, 30–50% drawdowns happen inside bull markets; surviving them without panic-selling is half the game.
