A DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is an organization whose rules are encoded in smart contracts and whose decisions are made by governance-token-holder voting. No CEO, everything is transparent on-chain.

On TON, TON Society exists as a community body, but few true DAOs with on-chain governance are live yet.
