TL;DR – Gatto is a Play‑to‑Earn mini‑app for Telegram and VK that lets users hatch, raise, and battle virtual pets called Gattomons. Pets compete in running and swimming stadium events, generate gifts, and can be minted as NFTs or sold for Toncoin.

Overview#

Gatto is a Tamagotchi‑style P2E game built on the TON blockchain. Players obtain Gattomons from eggs bought in the in‑game store or via promo codes. Each pet has five core attributes—strength, flight, swimming, agility, and stamina (the latter is not yet implemented). As a pet levels up, it gains 1–3 attribute points per level, distributed randomly according to its rarity.

Rarity and Biomes

Gattomons come in five rarity tiers: common, rare, mythic, legendary, and mutant. Rarity influences the number of attribute points earned per level, the quality of gifts, and the chance of receiving Toncoin rewards. Each pet occupies a biome cell of a specific element; the game currently features seven biomes: meadows, ice wasteland, mountains, desert, sea, forest, and beds.

Breeding

Breeding requires two level‑10 Gattomons of the same species. The offspring inherits the highest attribute from each parent plus a random +1 bonus, and takes the higher rarity of the two parents. The new generation’s egg appears in the warehouse after the parents disappear.

Gameplay Mechanics#

• Care: Players can play with a pet every 2 hours to fill the happiness bar, and feed it every 2 minutes (+20 % satiety). Well‑cared pets generate gifts more quickly.
• Store: Offers clothing, experience essences, in‑game currency, premium tickets, and eggs.
• Stadium Events: Two competition modes are available:
  • Run – a platform‑style obstacle course.
  • Swim – underwater navigation with timed taps.
    Rewards include experience, coins, occasional essences, eggs, or Toncoin, with amounts influenced by the pet’s league and generation.

Gift Rewards by Rarity

• Common: Coins and experience; occasional regular‑rarity essences or eggs.
• Rare: Same as common plus extra experience.
• Mythic: Same as rare plus 0.01–0.5 TON with ~0.4 % chance.
• Legendary: Same as mythic plus 1–3 TON with 0.5–1 % chance.

NFT Integration#

Players can convert Gattomons into NFTs stored in a crypto wallet. Frozen NFTs cannot be interacted with in‑game but can be sold for Toncoin on Getgems or re‑minted back into a playable pet. Only NFTs from the official collection are compatible.

TON and $GTON Token#

The game uses Toncoin for in‑game transactions and NFT minting. Legendary Gattomons may yield 1–3 TON per gift (0.5–1 % chance), while mythic pets can yield 0.01–0.5 TON (0.4 % chance). Rare and common pets do not generate Toncoin rewards.

$GTON is the project’s native token, planned for listing in April 2024.

Leagues and Rewards#

Withdrawals are limited to 20 TON per week for regular accounts.

Events and Activities#

Gatto runs periodic events that award gold coins, Toncoin, and legendary eggs. Notable past events include:

• Sea season (29 Jan – 25 Feb 2024): 3 M gold coins, 720 TON, 24 legendary eggs.
• Rocky season (7 Dec 2023 – 9 Jan 2024): 300 K gold coins, 100 TON, 3 000 tickets.
• The Quahilles Trial (ongoing since 26 Sep 2023): 292 TON, 3.9 M gold coins, 12 legendary eggs, NFT prizes.
• Gatto × Tonstakers (23 Feb – 11 Mar 2024): $18 000 prize pool.
• Silver fever (Mar 2024, active): $5 000 prize pool.

Future Roadmap#

The developers plan to add PvP and PvE modes where squads of three pets battle using rarity‑based combat cards.
