TL;DR: GAMEE is a Play‑to‑Earn gaming brand owned by Animoca Brands. It runs a large Telegram gaming community, offers the Arc8 platform, and powers its ecosystem with the $GMEE ERC‑20 token on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.

Brand overview#

Founded in 2015, GAMEE has become a notable casual‑gaming publisher. It joined the Animoca Brands family and operates the Arc8 platform, which connects gamers, brands, and Web3 communities through a variety of titles. The company partners with well‑known brands such as Guinness World Records, NASA, Manchester City Football Club, and Atari to produce co‑branded games.

Telegram gaming ecosystem#

GAMEE launched its Telegram bot in 2016, quickly becoming one of the messenger’s largest gaming communities. As of 9 June 2024, the bot reported ≈82.7 million registered users. By November 2023, the community had logged over 200 million gameplays across 50 casual titles.

Gameplay and rewards

The bot lets players mine “Wat” points (formerly “Loot”) at a base rate of 2.5 Wat per hour. Inviting an active friend adds +10 Wat per hour per referral. Players earn “Tickets” for completing tasks; tickets can be spent on Lucky Draws or the Fortune Wheel, which awards 40–300 tickets or USDT prizes ranging from $0.01 to $20. The minimum USDT withdrawal threshold is $10, subject to regional regulations.

The bot interface includes five tabs: Mine, Earn, Spin, Watdrop, and Wallet. The Wallet tab supports TON wallets such as TON Space, Tonkeeper, and MyTonWallet for withdrawing prize money.

$GMEE token#

$GMEE is an ERC‑20 token deployed on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. Its total supply is capped at 3,180,000,000. The token is used to unlock exclusive features in Arc8 and other GAMEE titles, purchase in‑game items, and participate in governance votes. Integration with the TON blockchain has been mentioned as a future possibility but is not yet implemented.

Wat Protocol (reward program)#

The Wat Protocol, formerly known as the Phoenix Protocol, is a multi‑stage rewards program. It currently operates its second stage—Telegram mining—where users collect Wat points. The program is planned to include three additional stages, with community speculation that Wat may become an in‑game currency, a governance token, or a tiered rewards metric. These expectations remain unconfirmed.
