Catizen is a Play‑to‑Earn (P2E) mini‑app on Telegram that lets users breed, merge, and collect virtual cats while earning in‑game tokens.
Gameplay#
The game board consists of 12 cells for cats. Cats arrive in carriers, drop from the sky, or can be purchased in the store for $vKITTY. Each subsequent purchase of a cat at the same level costs more. Merging two cats of equal level upgrades the cat, changes its appearance, and increases passive $vKITTY earnings.
Bonus characters appear randomly; tapping them grants extra cats or mining acceleration. Spending 50 $FISH enhances these bonuses.
A fishing mini‑game costs 84 $FISH. Players stop a sliding bar at a target level to win between 84 and 420 $FISH or a $vKITTY mining boost.
An auto‑mode can be bought for 3,700 $FISH, automatically collecting power‑ups and merging cats.
Project tokens#
Catizen’s token model includes three tokens:
$vKITTY
The primary currency, mined through cat interactions and fishing. It is used to purchase new cats.
$FISH
A utility token for upgrades, high‑level cats, fishing, and auto‑mode purchases. It can be earned via donations, invites, daily check‑ins, and social media tasks.
$vCATI
An airdrop token earned by mining: sending a level‑110 cat or freezing 1,000 $FISH. The first mining phase (April 26 – May 10 2024) generated 8.4 billion $vCATI. The token is slated for exchange listings in Q2 2024 and conversion to USDT.
Token distribution allocates 35 % of total supply to ecosystem development and airdrops.
Integration in the TON ecosystem#
After joining the TON network, Catizen received technical and marketing support from the TON Foundation. Approximately 10 % of bot users adopted the Telegram Wallet, and over 50 % began using other TON Web‑3 applications.
Catizen was showcased at TOKEN2049 and the Web‑3 Festival in Hong Kong (2024) as a successful TON GameFi case.
The project competes in The Open League’s “Battle of Apps” tournament, winning first place in Season 2 (May 1‑15 2024) and retaining the lead in Season 3 (May 15‑29 2024), earning a $160,000 prize.
Partnerships#
Catizen collaborates with several TON projects:
- Notcoin – in‑game purchases using $NOT (e.g., a pack of 9,000 $FISH and 516 cats for ~1,990 $NOT).
- Fanton – joint tournament with a 60,000 $FISH prize pool.
- TON Poker and Play Deck – joint event with a 1,000 $ prize pool and free Wheel of Fortune tickets.
