The Open League (TOL) is a large‑scale competitive program run by the TON community to attract millions of new active users and distribute Toncoin rewards to projects, liquidity providers, and participants.
Program overview#
The initiative was announced by Jack Booth, CMO of the TON Foundation, at The Gateway conference in fall 2023. It received support from roughly 99.5 % of voting community members.
The program is organized into seasonal phases:
- Pilot Season – launched January 2024, target 500,000 new users.
- Season I – began April 2024, target 1,000,000 new users, reward fund 30 million Toncoin (~$150 M).
- Season II – scheduled for September 2024, target 3,500,000 new users.
Inter‑season periods are used for analytics and additional initiatives.
Reward structure#
TOL uses a two‑level reward system:
- Level 1 – Soulbound Tokens (SBT) – non‑transferable tokens earned by completing quests.
- Level 2 – XP points – experience points that can be exchanged for Toncoin. Details on XP distribution were not finalized at the time of writing.
Pilot Season#
The Pilot Season started on January 29, 2024. Participants completed simple quests via the TON Community bot covering products such as Wallet, Fanton, tApps Center, Notcoin, and Getgems. Successful completion awarded an SBT; completing all quests granted the Junior Pilot SBT.

Users who finished all quests also received an airdrop of 16,222 Toncoin in total, with an individual reward of 10 Toncoin per completed quest set.
Liquidity Provider Incentive Program#
In March 2024 a 1 million Toncoin liquidity incentive was launched for the two major DEXs STON.fi and DeDust.io. APR on some pools reached +700 %. The boost was available until April 1, 2024.
The program also featured a competition among projects in four categories—Tokens, Apps, DeFi, and Liquid Staking—with a total prize pool of $560,000.
Trading tournament
A trading tournament for influencers ran from March 19 to April 1, 2024. Participants received an initial balance of 5,000 Toncoin. Prize pools were 85,000 Toncoin for influencer teams and 30,000 Toncoin for team owners.
Season I#
Season I began on April 1, 2024. The TON Foundation allocated 30 million Toncoin over three months, divided among four reward blocks:
- League – 5 million Toncoin. Projects compete in Big and Small leagues; top Small‑league projects can move up.
- Mining – 22 million Toncoin. Targeted at ambitious startups leveraging referral programs and community incentives.
- Quests & Airdrops – 22 million Toncoin. Designed for newcomers; rewards are SBTs.
- Increased Liquidity Pools – 40 million Toncoin. Big‑league projects receive 50,000 Toncoin each to boost pool rewards.
League participants
Big‑league projects for Season I include GRAM, RAFF, STON, UP, ARBUZ, SCALE, FNZ, PUNK, JETTON, FISH, TONNEL, DFC, and KINGY. Projects can apply for the Small league via TON Research.
How beginners can earn#
- Token mining – try bots such as Arbuz Clicker, Kingy GM bot, Pixels, and Catizen.
- Quests & airdrops – watch for upcoming quests and claim airdrops (e.g., PEPE DROP).
Hackathon#
An eight‑week online hackathon ran from March 26 to June 1, 2024, offering a $2 million prize fund. Participants developed solutions in DeFi, GameFi, eCommerce, and Web 3 Social on TON and Telegram. The most promising projects could receive $500,000 from TON Ventures and a chance to present at The Gateway conference in Dubai.
