**プルバック（Pullback）**とは、支配的なトレンドに対して一時的に価格が逆行すること：上昇トレンド中の短期的な下落や、下落トレンド中の一時的な反発。トレーダーはプルバックをトレンド方向へのエントリーポイントとして活用する。

難しいのは、健全なプルバックと本当のトレンド転換を見分けること——大抵は後になってからでないとわからない。
